SimCity BuildIt Epic Projects

Turn your city into an Epic one by completing Epic Projects and upgrading your highest level buildings into masterpieces.

Starting Epic Projects

Get approval for Epic Projects and build your Department of Epic Projects. Find it in the Government - Services menu.

Golden winged helmet. Look for bubbles with the ‘winged golden helmet’ icon near your Specialization buildings. Tap it and then drag the required Simoleons to the buildings to start your Epic Projects.

Need more information? Just tap the ‘i’ icon on top of the building tip screen and it will give more details on the project.

Complete Epic Project Tasks

In the Epic Project window:

  1. Tap Show Tasks.
  2. Tap the Epic task bubbles with the star token icon Star token. to begin helping your community and earn Project Points.

As you earn more Project Points you will reach higher project tiers:

  • Turtle
  • Llama
  • Cheetah

You have a limited time to complete an Epic Project once you start it. When the timer runs out the project tier you reached (Turtle, Llama, or Cheetah) will determine what type of building you get.

Once time is up, tap Upgrade to create your Epic Building. Epic Buildings hold more citizens and produce parts that can be used to speed up crafting in your city.

You can only work on one Epic Project at a time. After you complete that Epic Project, there is a cooldown before you can start another.

It gets very frustrating when I have only 6 landmarks and 3 of my quests call for 3 lawn chairs for 3 of the sites. That is just one example. It seems every time I pass the turtle I start getting multiple quests for the same items. I've had 5 lawn chairs with 2x3 lawn chairs, then 5 cupboards x2, all of which use extreme amounts of lumber. Even using speed up tokens there is no way to meet the demand. I have reached jaguar twice, but one of those took me spending 20 hours in game and using some of my green money too. I'll not do that again, not time wise. Being on a fixed income I will only be getting the green bucks in game too. I guess what I am saying is, I won't be playing as much. When a game gets more frustrating than fun, it usually goes on the back burner.
